See it in action

Minutes, not days.

Mapping a phone menu by hand takes hours of calls and notes, and it's out of date the next time the script changes. Drop in a number instead, and let IVR Explorer do the dialing.

  • Dials your number, exactly like a customer would.
  • Presses every option and records every prompt.
  • Draws the path your customers take, as a tree.

The missing map

Nobody has the full picture

Phone menus grow for years: a new option here, a holiday message there, a department that moved. Before long, nobody can say what every path sounds like or where it really leads.

A map helps you find:
  • Dead ends and options that go nowhere.
  • Loops that send callers back to where they started.
  • Outdated prompts nobody has listened to in years.
  • Long paths to the most common reasons people call.
  • A baseline to plan a redesign or a migration.

Know where every path ends

Every branch is labeled, so you see at a glance what a caller reaches when they press it.

Each step in the tree comes with the recording of what the caller hears, the transcript, and a plain-English summary. Play any prompt, right from the tree.

Go past "enter your account number"

Many menus hide their best options behind a login prompt. Give IVR Explorer a test account number, ZIP code or PIN, and it enters it to map what's behind the gate.

  • Use test values for each prompt you want to explore.
  • Prompts you don't cover are marked, not skipped silently.
  • Never card numbers or social security numbers: those prompts are marked and left alone, by design.

Got a question we haven't answered? Just ask.

Yes. There's no card and no paid plan. Every account starts with three saved scans and up to 100 calls a day. If you need more scans, ask us and we'll raise it, also free.
US and Canada numbers that you own or are authorized to test. IVR Explorer records each prompt it hears, so only map lines that are yours.
It stops as soon as a path reaches a queue or a person, marks it, and hangs up. Your agents aren't kept on the line.
Some phone systems route differently from one call to the next, especially under load. A branch that misroutes is marked rather than guessed. For the most complete map, run a second scan: it usually fills the gaps.
Menus in English work out of the box. Spanish is available too; ask us to turn it on for your account.
30 days, so you can play any prompt from the tree. Print or save the map as a PDF to keep it longer.
IVR Explorer maps your whole menu, whenever you run it. IVR Monitoring watches your lines around the clock and alerts your team the moment one goes down or changes.
